Your children between the ages of 6 weeks and 2 years are always welcome in our nursery program, which is available during all services at both campuses. Our dedicated and caring staff would love to get to know your children and share God’s love with them.
Where do I take my kids?
When you arrive at church, let a member of our Greeting Team know you’re looking for the nursery area, and they’ll help you find the appropriate room.
What do I need to bring for my child?
Please bring the following items for your child, depending on his/her age:
6 weeks – 2 years:
A diaper bag that includes:
2-3 disposable diapers (no cloth diapers, please)
Any needed security items, such as a pacifier
A complete change of clothes
A bottle of milk, formula, juice, or water.
Please also label all personal items with your child’s name before arriving at your child’s classroom; this will help us keep track of your child’s items.
What if my child is sick?
We operate a well-baby program. For the protection of all the children in our ministry, we ask that you not bring your child with a fresh cold (four days or less), fever, rash, persistent cough, diarrhea or any other signs of illness. Thank you in advance for helping us keep our program a healthy place for all.
What can I expect when we arrive at our classroom?
During check-in, a worker will greet you and ask you to fill out an information card. This card will help us identify child and parents, and will apprise us of any allergies or special needs your child may have. A worker will then assign your child a cubby to store his/her supplies. Finally, you will be given a beeper to carry with you while you are away from your child. If your child becomes distressed or sick, or any other urgent matter arises while you are away from your child, the beeper will light up and vibrate to request that you return to your child’s classroom.
My child has separation anxiety.
We know that some children have difficulty with separation from their parents, especially in a new place, and we are prepared for this. We encourage you to say a quick goodbye. If your child cries, our leaders will immediately try to create interest in a toy or activity and give assurance that you will return once the worship service has ended. If your child cries for an extended period of time, we will contact you via your beeper.
What do we need to do at pick-up time?
Please pick up your child when the worship service has ended. Make sure you take all your child’s items, and leave your beeper with a worker. We keep left-behind items for a short period of time; after about a month, any items not claimed will be donated to a charitable organization.
